Required data
Missing required native fields, placeholder values and duplicate item IDs.
Find missing product data, malformed prices and native-schema mismatches before preparing an ads feed. Get a free readiness score from the live, versioned checker.
Check your product feed for ChatGPT AdsIndependent analysis — not affiliated with or approved by OpenAI. Ads readiness does not guarantee organic visibility in ChatGPT conversations.
Last reviewed against OpenAI feed specification:
A product feed is a structured catalog with a stable identifier, descriptive information, destination URLs and commerce values for each item. This checker reviews the native OpenAI schema for ads preparation; it does not submit that catalog or manage campaigns.
Missing required native fields, placeholder values and duplicate item IDs.
Native availability values, positive currency amounts and HTTPS product/image URL syntax without credentials.
Ads opt-in, content length, optional GTIN, condition, seller URL, sale price and declared variant structure. Account defaults and live URLs are not verified.
Required fields checked by this profile: item_id title description url image_url brand seller_name price availability .
Missing required values are critical findings. Recommendations and optional-field problems are warnings. The ads opt-in field is checked separately: this tool cannot see any account-level default.
Keep IDs stable, preserve assigned identifiers and use actual product information. Never invent a brand, GTIN, seller or destination to silence a finding.
A result shows total products, distinct products with critical errors, distinct products with warnings and a readiness score. The two product counts may overlap.
Map item_id, seller_name and other native columns explicitly. Fix missing source values upstream rather than copying a Google-format label blindly.
Use the native availability vocabulary and correctly formatted actual prices. Repair malformed destination URLs and check them separately in a browser.
Review the paid product-check matrix and repair worklist, then rescan the corrected source with the same profile. A better score is not an approval decision.
Keep catalog data refreshed at least daily and when price or stock changes. This audit knows when it analyzed the file, not when OpenAI last received it. Delivery registration, format conversion, account settings and policy review remain separate tasks.
XML inspection produces a conversion warning. The checker does not send files through SFTP or an Ads API.
| Profile | Purpose | Limit |
|---|---|---|
| ChatGPT Ads native | Check supported native OpenAI fields and formats | No ad acceptance or organic visibility guarantee |
| General product feed | Review common XML/CSV data quality | Not an OpenAI schema compliance check |
Use the Product Feed Checker for a general scan, the Product Feed Audit guide to plan repairs, or the Product Feed Quality framework for source-data priorities.
The checker detects OpenAI native or Google-compatible field names. Confirm OpenAI's selected format during registration. Native availability uses pre_order and permits unknown; Google-compatible uses preorder and does not permit unknown. Google-compatible CSV/TSV/TXT requires a registered merchant identity and eligibility settings. XML/RSS/Atom is not supported by that upload path.
Native is_ads_eligible=false intentionally excludes an item; an absent value is unconfirmed without a verified feed default. Ads Manager can configure that default. ads_metadata must contain integration-configured string values. Do not invent targeting keys.
Items expire after 14 days without refresh. Use a hosted HTTPS URL or automated SFTP delivery supported by OpenAI. Product Feed Scan does not provide SFTP integration. Update prices and stock promptly; explicitly set out_of_stock for unavailable items. Source age and last OpenAI upload are not verified; file modification time is not an upload timestamp.
CSV prices use major currency units such as 79.99 USD; Delta API amounts use minor units such as 7999. We do not send API requests or upload your catalog.
Product pages and images are not externally verified. Syntax checks do not establish crawlability. Ads and organic discovery are separate; Ads Manager/feed access may be beta or gated.
Page structured data not scanned. These vocabulary additions are informational, not universal OpenAI, Google, Microsoft or Meta requirements, and do not lower any score.
Last reviewed against OpenAI feed specification: 2026-09-19. The rule mapping and this page share the same native profile; unsupported checks are explicitly excluded.
No. This independent checker measures supported feed-data rules. It cannot verify account eligibility, policy decisions, page contents or image reachability, and does not grant OpenAI approval.
No organic placement is promised. Ads feed readiness and organic product discovery are different concerns. This audit is not a ranking or visibility prediction.
The checker detects native OpenAI or Google-compatible columns and applies separate rules. OpenAI must confirm compatibility for the registered feed; an audit cannot verify registration or delivery acceptance.
The checker accepts public XML/CSV URLs or temporary file uploads up to 200 MiB and 100,000 products. XML can be inspected, but receives a conversion warning; it is not presented as an OpenAI delivery format.
